Africa is where the heart of sport lives, our history in sports is somewhat inspirational, our courage to take on new challenges is something the rest of the world can admire. Some of our most astounding athletes originated from Africa and despite living in poverty, these sportsmen were able to take their talents to new heights. We ask ourselves; how many other equally talented athletes also deserve this chance? A chance to do something great, an opportunity to live their dreams and create a positive impact in our communities.
Sport brings people together, it creates relationships, empowers communities and builds confidence in children. Children who participate in sports learn and develop many important life skills such as teamwork, responsibility and self-growth.
We launched our business based on two fundamental questions:
Can we improve the lives of younger generations through sport?
How can we provide our communities with sports equipment to ensure equal participation amongst children?
Income plays a huge role in a child’s participation in sports, PromoSport aims to provide equal participation in sports regardless of what the income of a community is. Education is a basic human right, which is why we believe that the development of a child is equally as important.
Nelson Mandela, a real-life hero and a strong believer of sport once said; “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does.”
It was at this point when we realized that every child deserves the opportunity to grow through sport, a simple yet significant change that we could bring to the lives of the African youth.
PromoSport’s vision is to be a universal supplier of sports equipment to communities in need. We plan to build sustainable relationships with athletes as well as established organisations in order to contribute to the development of our communities.
There are endless possibilities that sport can bring to a child’s life. Join us on our journey and get in touch to learn more about our BlueStar campaigns aimed at giving back to our communities.
